Greenwood is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, in the City of Joondalup. The area is 18 kilometers from Perth’s core business center. Greenwood Forest was the advertising name used by the Gold Land Development Corporation for the estate, which began construction in the region in 1969. Greenwood High School was opened in the mid 1970s. The original Greenwood Primary School has since been demolished and is now a land estate. West Greenwood Primary School still exists. The Greenwood Tavern is a popular local eating and drinking place that has won awards over the years. A very small light industrial area exists around Canham Way close to Wanneroo Road.
